Many thanks for your patience whilst designing my titanium Audax frame. You were very open to my ideas, and, that is the very essence of a custom-built bike. Furthermore, the build quality and accuracy of the finished product is superb and exceeded my expectations. I know that the frame will give me many years of good service with the unquestionable durability of the titanium tubing.As you know, I have owned other frames from very famous builders, but, when we first met, I had some very specific requirements, which you incorporated to accommodate my physique and functional requirements. These included fixings for a 'proper' pump, extended seat tube for rigidity, and, a 3rd bottle cage under the down tube.
I have built up the bike with a Campagnolo Record groupset, Fi'z:k Aliante saddle, Pro Vibe monocoque seatpost, Modolo Curvissimo carbon handlebars on a Deda Newton stem, and, with Rotor Q oval chainrings.
Although I have only ridden the bike in winter conditions, with some heavy wheels and tyres, the bike handles superbly, with a perfect balance between rigidity, responsiveness and forgiveness. I would commend titanium to your other customers every time for an Audax frame because of its forgiveness, even though I enjoy my Italian carbon monocoque bike on smooth road in summer conditions.
